Officer support is available for up to 6 month periods to help community groups and not-for-profits with their group sustainability or with project development and management support. This can include stakeholder engagement; project planning, funding and project management tools.

The City's Community Development Team offer FREE training workshops to not-for-profits and volunteers within or servicing the City of Cockburn.

Cockburn Community Development Group
The Cockburn Community Development Group (CCDG) consists of representatives from Residents and Community Associations across the City of Cockburn. The CCDG meets every two months to discuss suburb issues and concerns as well as planned activities and events.

The City of Cockburn can subsidise the cost of public liability insurance and volunteer accident cover to eligible not for profit organisations in Cockburn.
Public liability insurance provides you with insurance cover for your legal liability to third parties for bodily injury and/or property damage arising from your group's activities.
The Volunteer Accident policy will provide volunteers and committee members with financial compensation should such persons sustain personal injury whilst working for and on behalf of a club or community group.
