Recreation Services

Recreation Services is responsible for the management and provision of community sport and recreation facilities within the City and aims to encourage a healthy and active lifestyle for all residents.


The service provides;

  • the coordination of active (organised, competitive sport purposes) and passive reserves
  • the booking of community halls & centres
  • assistance to local sporting groups through the Champion Clubs program aiming to promote growth and development of clubs as well as initiating new recreational and leisure activities within the region
  • facility development and project management of community leisure facilities in line with the Sport & Recreation Strategic Plan
  • recreation events Bike Week & Bibra Lake Fun Run
  • funding opportunities that are available to local sporting clubs and individuals including the Junior Travel Assistance and KidSport Funding Program.

 With a diverse range of sport and recreation activities available, Recreation Services is committed to ensuring the Citys services and facilities meet the needs of our rapidly growing community.
