Recreation Services

Recreation Services is responsible for the management and provision of community sport and recreation facilities within the City and aims to encourage a healthy and active lifestyle for all residents.

The service provides;

the coordination of active (organised, competitive sport purposes) and passive reserves
the booking of community halls & centres
assistance to local sporting groups through the Champion Clubs program aiming to promote growth and development of clubs as well as initiating new recreational and leisure activities within the region
facility development and project management of community leisure facilities in line with the Sport & Recreation Strategic Plan
recreation events Bike Week & Bibra Lake Fun Run
funding opportunities that are available to local sporting clubs and individuals including the Junior Travel Assistance and KidSport Funding Program.

With a diverse range of sport and recreation activities available, Recreation Services is committed to ensuring the Citys services and facilities meet the needs of our rapidly growing community.
