Affordable Housing toolkit

The information provided on this website has been prepared to inform and encourage potential landowners, developers and future affordable housing owners/renters on aspects of affordable housing generally, but also with specific reference to Cockburn Coast. It is hoped this information will assist in opening up opportunities to deliver essential affordable and diverse housing types within Cockburn Coast and other areas within the City of Cockburn.

Plans for Cockburn Coast incorporate aspirations to provide up to 20% of new housing as affordable housing. The mechanisms initiated by the City and LandCorp are set out within the Cockburn Coast District Structure Plan 1 & 2 and have been refined in the resulting Robb Jetty Local Structure Plan

Affordable housing is addressed more broadly across the City in the City of Cockburn Housing Affordability and Diversity Strategy which was adopted by Council at the 9 October 2014 Ordinary Meeting, and the Strategy can be viewed here: Housing Affordability and Diversity Strategy (2014)
