Are you planning a community event where food will be sold?
Sausage sizzles are great money raising events, but food safety should be your first priority.
Temporary food stalls require a permit for operation - complete an Application to Sell Food from a Temporary Food Premises form or fill in the online form below.
Temporary food stalls must comply with some minimum stall requirements and have temporary facilities to ensure good hygiene of food handlers on the day. Please read the Guidelines for Temporary Food Premises before applying for a permit and view the Food Stall Diagram.
No application fee applies for temporary food premises run by not for profit groups.
Please note if you are intending on running a sausage sizzle at Bunnings Bibra Lake or South Central, separate approval is not required from the Citys Health Services. Please contact the store direct, who will provide you with the conditions which must be followed.
For groups that are raising funds for charities or community groups, an application may be completed online. Please go to the following link:
Please refer to the following information pamphlets:
If your community group regularly runs food stalls, it is recommended that you send the key food handlers along to one of the Citys Safe Food Handling Training Sessions. All participants receive a comprehensive folder to accompany that training and a hat.
Book in for a session by sending in a Registration Form.
