Firebreaks are due 1 November of each year and must be maintained through to 15 April of the following year.

INFORMATION ON PERMITS
RESTRICTED BURNING TIMES
You will require a permit from the City prior to commencing any burning - permits are not available until 18 April 2017 due to weather conditions.
Please contact the City after this date to arrange for a permit to burn.
Please refer to the City's Fire Control Order effective from 9 July 2015, for more detailed information.
All areas zoned Residential, Commercial or Industrial
No burning allowed at anytime.
Areas zoned Rural and Other Areas
Without any exception, no fire may be lit on a day when the fire danger is declared as very high, extreme, severe or catastrophic.
To determine what the fire danger level is, a person should ring 1196 for information.
If there is any doubt of your responsibility in lighting a fire, of any type, the City of Cockburn should be contacted before lighting.
