Explore what lives below the surface of a healthy wetland. Use a sweep net to collect a sample then look at what you find under the microscope!

(WA Wildlife). Which reptiles have ears? Who likes to eat each other? Students will dive into the secret lives of snakes and lizards, learning about reptile conservation and snake bite first aid. Meet a few scaly friends too.

The desert is not deserted! Australian deserts are full of wildlife that have evolved to living in extreme conditions. Although thriving, our Australian outback faces significant threats to its health. Come learn how we can address these threats and meet some of the animals we could be helping.
Students will investigate the effect ground cover has on the amount of water infiltration into soil.
Students will discover the world of mammals through habitat investigations, understanding their survival techniques and by meeting resident mammals at WA Wildlife.
Fuel your students' curiosity and creativity, as they dive into the rich cultural heritage of the Nyungar Six Seasons, passionately merging it with botanical knowledge and  a visit to the community native plant nursery.
Wilderness Awareness Games are a way of connecting with nature through playing games. Generally, the Wilderness Awareness Games we play are high energy, involve fast movement – running, chasing, dodging, jumping – and get the heart pumping. They are based on animal behaviours observed in the wild and often require children to imitate the forms or actions of particular animals. There are rules and instructions for each game that require focus. The games require balance and coordination – developing agility in the body and stretching proprioception and equilibrioception. Games are collaborative and often require teams that develop cooperation and empathy.
Students will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the lore of our wetland plants through mesmerising tales. Don’t miss this extraordinary opportunity to blend art, nature, and storytelling into an unforgettable experience.
Students will learn about the importance of the ocean in the water cycle, how the water and dune environments interact and support each other and interact and identify with items washed up onto the beach.
