The extension of Verde Drive (Biscayne Way to Solomon Road) was completed in February 2019 to improve connectivity and traffic flow in the Cockburn Central area.

The most recent construction of Verde Drive west of Solomon Road extends to the proposed Armadale Road North Lake Road Bridge. This also includes the extension of Prinsep Road (south of Cutler) to Verde Drive. Both roads were opened in July 2020.

The connection to Armadale Road is a Main Road Alliance project and is currently in progress.
