Children's crossing in Hammond Park

Main Roads Western Australia (MRWA), WA Police, and the City collaborated to construct a children's crossing at the intersection of Macquarie Boulevard and Eucalyptus Drive near Botany Park in Hammond Park. This project was completed in October 2022. Additionally, the City worked with MRWA to install 40km/hr speed signs adjacent to the school on Hammond Road in the same year. A new footpath was also constructed along Irvine Parade/Botany Parade.

Currently, the City is working with Hammond Park Primary School and its Parents Group on a second children’s crossing on Gaebler Road. The design is currently being reviewed by MRWA, with construction planned for 2025.

Note: The WA Police Children’s Crossings Unit provides the traffic warden stationed at the crossing during school terms.
