Black Spot funds for Hamilton Hill intersection

The City of Cockburn's statement to the Cockburn Gazette on 28 April 2020 about funding from the Federal Government's  Black Spot Program to upgrade the Phoenix/Rockingham Rds intersection -


Statement: The City welcomes the awarding of Federal Black Spot funding for the proposed roundabout at the intersection of Phoenix and Rockingham Roads in Hamilton Hill.

The replacement of the existing four-way traffic signal controls with a roundabout will be carried out as part of the upgrade of Rockingham Road between Phoenix Road and Coleville Crescent in the 2020/21 financial year, to improve safety and amenity for pedestrians, cyclists and vehicles along this section of Rockingham Road.
