Rejection of crusher application

The City of Cockburn's response to WAMN News, 14 May 2021 about the rejection of the crusher application by the City of Cockburn

Question: I would like to request a brief statement for our news broadcast on the crusher proposal matter, which was officially voted down yesterday evening in the council chambers

Answer: The report to Council cited sixteen reasons why City of Cockburn officers recommended refusal of this application. Council considered that the proposal did not comply with a range of State and Local Government policies guidelines, frameworks and schemes.

Council believed that the proposal had not adequately addressed the management of asbestos, dust, or noise; and neither did the proposal demonstrate that the modifications would be environmentally acceptable for the impacts on human health, flora and fauna.
