Question: What reasons did Cr Terblanche give for resigning?
Answer:
Cr Terblanche resigned as an Elected Member effective immediately on 6 April 2022 advising that it had been a privilege to represent the community for almost 7 years’ service. The City considers the content of a resignation letter to be confidential.
 
Question: When will the council hold an extraordinary election?
Answer:
As per the City’s Media Release, the City is now in discussions with the Western Australian Electoral Commission about options to fill the vacancy via an Extraordinary Election likely to be held in the next two to four months.
