Question: PerthNow understands that Cr Terblanche has sold her property.
Answer:
This is a private matter. Cr Terblanche continues to meet the requirements as a elector of the district as per the Local Government Act (1995).
 
Question: If a councillor sells their property and no longer has a property or a primary place of residence within the City boundaries Can they continue their councillor term or do they have to resign?
Answer:
In short no, they need to be an elector of the district.

Question: Is it incumbent of a councillor to advise administration of any such changes to their living situation?
Answer:
If a Councillor no longer meets the qualification to retain membership to council they are required to advise the CEO in writing.

Question: What timeframe should this occur within?
Answer:
It should occur as soon as practicable.
 
Question: Do you know which section of the Local Government Act that covers this?
Answer:

Question: Has Cr Terblanche resigned or indicated she will resign?
Answer:
Cr Terblanche is currently on a leave of absence as endorsed by the Council at the December OCM.
 
Question: Has she informed the City of her house sale?
Answer:
Cr Terblanche is not required to inform the City of a house sale if she continues to meet the requirement for qualification to retain membership of council.

Question: When will all elector motions from the AGM be considered by the council?
Answer:
Elector motions will be considered at the March OCM.
