Australia Day Coogee Beach Festival

The City of Cockburn's response to PerthNow Cockburn about the Australia Day Coogee Beach Festival

Question: I’ve seen that you have an Australia Day Coogee Beach Festival being held on the public holiday and I was just wondering whether this was held last year (or in previous years?) and if so- will this one be on par with the previous events or will it be bigger/smaller?

Answer:
The Australia Day Coogee Beach Festival has been hosted annually by the City of Cockburn for over 20 years.

It is very popular with local families and attracts about 6,000 people each year. We are expecting another big turnout for this year’s event.

Last year the event was slightly different, with waterslides and face painting cancelled due to Covid safety precautions, but these activities will return this year.
