Register of Gifts

The Gifts Register contains those disclosures of gifts that have been made by Elected Members and the Chief Executive Officer in their official capacity which are valued over $300 or are two or more gifts with a cumulative value over $300 (where the gifts are received from the same donor in a 12 month period). Such gifts are to be disclosed within 10 days of having received the gift (Sections 5.87A and 5.87B Local Government Act 1995).

In accordance with Section 5.89A of the Local Government Act 1995  the Chief Executive Officer is required to publish an up-to-date gifts and travel contributions register made to staff and Elected Members on the City’s website. This ensures that the actions of staff and Elected Members are transparent, accountable and ethical.
