Youth Centre Holiday Program

The Cockburn Youth Centre is open to young people aged 10–24 (the month they turn 10 but not earlier). 

Holiday programs, apart from Youth Diversity Inc. programs, are for 10–17 year olds. 

Spaces are limited and bookings are required for all programs.

Monday 7 July  Warhammer  Step into a world of creativity, strategy, and epic battles! Where you’ll be introduced to the exciting hobby of Warhammer, you’ll learn the rules of the game, and battle it out in a friendly, imaginative tabletop wars. No experience needed - just bring your imagination! 10am –4pm 
  Cooking Chef Kel is in the kitchen to teach you how to create some tasty treats. 2pm – 4pm
Tuesday 8 July RPG Let our professional DM take you on a quest of might and magic. Let the dice roll! 10am –4pm
  Crafternoon Get crafty at CYC! Past projects have included personal chalkboards, candles, dream catchers and more. Call the team for more info. 2pm – 4pm
Wednesday 9 July RPG Let our professional DM take you on a quest of might and magic. Let the dice roll! 10am – 4pm
  Drum Lessons Learn to play the drums! Open to all skill levels, from first timers to skilled players, join Tom for a one-on-one drum lesson. 11am – 4pm
Thursday 10 July Smash Bros Get ready for an epic showdown at our Smash Bros. Tournament. Show off your skills, outplay your opponents, and claim victory in a thrilling contest filled with excitement and surprises. 10am – 12pm
  Iron on Tees Get crafty creating your very own custom t-shirt design. Must BYO t-shirt 2pm – 4pm
Friday 11 July Pickleball Fast-paced, easy to learn, and tons of fun—pickleball is the perfect sport for all ages and skill levels! Join us at the youth centre to stay active, make new friends, and enjoy the game everyone’s talking about. 12pm – 4pm
  Selfcare Session Take some time to find your zen. Join Caitlyn for you weekly dose of wellness, activities may include yoga, journal writing, art therapy and meditation. 2pm – 4pm
Saturday 12 July Tabletop Join our Games Master Mike for some serious tabletop gaming action. 12pm – 4pm
  Barista 101 Join our resident barista legend Mason to learn the fine art of working a coffee machine. Open to all skill levels, from first timers to confident coffee slingers. 10am – 1pm

Memberships

Our Youth Centre memberships are free but are mandatory for anyone using the Centre. You can become a member by completing a membership form in person at the Youth Centre or complete the below form.

Program Bookings

All programs are free of charge. Bookings are essential and can be made in person at the Youth Centre or by calling 08 9411 3888.

Personal Belongings and Food

During the school holidays we may provide lunch; however it is best to come prepared. We have a fridge and secure lockers for storing personal belongings. Each person must be responsible for their own belongings.

Hang Out

Our free program and hangout spaces are open to 10-17years. Equipment incudes basketballs, X-box, PlayStation, pool table, ping pong, books, slackline and Foozball.

Program rules

The below will not be tolerated:
  • Behave or speak in a racist or sexist manner
  • Verbally abuse or threaten anyone
  • Behave in a violent or aggressive way
  • Carry any weapons at any time
  • Deliberately damage any property
  • Take any drugs, drink or smoke. Please note that anyone under the influence of drugs or alcohol will not be allowed to attend

You may be removed from the Youth Centre if you breach the rules.
