Kicking Goals for Life

Kicking Goals for Life

Kicking Goals for Life was developed by the City of Cockburn as a social soccer program to support men's weight loss. We launched the new program in May 2022 at Area 5 Futsal grounds in Yangebup, and have 5 teams currently competing.

The program aims to help overweight and obese men 18+ to lose weight, get fit, stay healthy and be socially active. With the assistance of a qualified Lifestyle Coach, players can work on achieving their health and fitness goals.

All men who wish to lose weight are encouraged to participate, regardless of fitness level and previous soccer experience. Depending on numbers registered there will be between four to six teams in the league, playing 40 minute games between 6pm and 8pm Tuesday evenings.

Cost: $10 per week

Important notes:
  • Appropriate cleat boots to be worn by players each game.
  • Turf boots are highly recommended, however plastic studded boots are accepted.
  • Sneakers are not recommended and metal studded boots are not allowed.

In addition, players can also have access to a number of other free or low cost programs through the Cockburn Healthy Lifestyle Service.
