Changes to the City’s procurement policy mean it is now a mandated requirement for the City to seek a quote from a local supplier when one is available, for purchases valued above $20,000. The concept of ‘buying local’ will also continue for lower value quotes where possible. The policy requires City officers to consider the ‘local and immediate regional economy’ when making procurement decisions.
The City will endeavour to provide supply opportunities for local and regional businesses that can demonstrate economic benefits, either through being a local business, the use of local sub-contractors or local employees.

In order to City staff to easily identify local and regional businesses, we invite businesses to create an account on the City’s eProcurement Portal, 360. This enables you to register on the Cockburn Supplier Register and list your services and contact details on the City’s website, making it easier for City staff to connect with you in the process of procuring goods and services.

You may also use this link to log in to your account and view any Requests For Quotation that have been sent to you by Cockburn staff.
All submissions must be submitted via the City eProcurement portal for the submission to be deemed compliant and considered by the City
