Includes Yellowfin Bream, Black Bream, Tarwhine. These species are sometimes colloquially known as Silver Bream. Yellowfin occurs in coastal waters as well as estuaries. Black Bream is more often found in estuaries, and occasionally in coastal waters.

There are several species in Derbal Nara. Older individuals often have a bump on the forehead, possibly given rise to name for 'head like an axe'TM.
Pink snapper Pagrus auratus is the commonest species

Goonga goombar, mamang, booga bidern, bugal-el-ngor Humpack whale

Goonga goombar means 'carrying a large neck or back'. Booga bidern means 'back of whale a creating trail in water as it jumps, i.e. breaching' and Bugal-el-ngor literally hillock on back.

Kalkarda, ngamiler, merderung (kalda, kalgarda, ngamiler) Mullet

Common in estuaries and coastal bays around Australia.
Family Mugilidae e.g. Sea Mullet:  Mugil cephalus
Kardang gurrung, dubitch WA Dhufish

More often on offshore reefs than inshore coastal areas. The name dubitch was changed by wadjela (white peopleto Jew Fish then Dhufish.

Common in estuaries and coastal waters.
