Nutrient stripping basin to be installed at Yangebup Lake

5APRIL2019
On Monday, 15 April 2019 works will begin to construct a new nutrient stripping basin at Yangebup Lake.

The basin includes a solar powered pump that removes nutrients from the water, which helps to reduce the nuisance swarms of midges in the area.

It is the second to be installed at Lake Yangebup.

The works will take place near the corner of Parkes Street and Tamara Drive.  Sections of the dual use paths will be closed and pedestrians and cyclist will be diverted to alternative paths. The works will take approximately two weeks.
