65% of Cockburn playgrounds have accessibility features

4APRIL2023
In Cockburn, 65 per cent of our playgrounds feature equipment that can be used by children and families of all abilities.

This equipment is designed to help people with disability or learning difficulty play together in our great outdoors.

Some are designed to make it easy for children who use wheelchairs or crutches to access play equipment, like swings and playground rides.

Others feature equipment to help those with learning difficulty to experiment with movement, texture and sound.

Find out where these playgrounds are in Cockburn and learn about their equipment by checking out the playgrounds page on our website.

The City of Cockburn is committed to creating an accessible and inclusive community for everyone.
