Cockburn ARC’s Swim ARCademy Shines at 2023 Austswim WA Awards

Cockburn ARC's Swim ARCademy, a leading swim school in Western Australia, is thrilled to announce its achievements at the prestigious 2023 Austswim WA Awards. 

The Swim ARCademy was awarded the 2023 Austswim WA Large Swim Centre of the Year, while the program’s Swim School Supervisor, Briannon Jones, received the 2023 Austswim WA Teacher of Swimming Water Safety Award. 

Both winners are now automatically nominated as finalists for the 2023 National Austswim Awards, to be unveiled later this year.

With over 6,600 nominations, these awards are a testament to the exceptional standards, commitment, and unwavering dedication demonstrated by the Swim ARCademy.

Swim ARCademy's curriculum is specifically designed to cater to individuals of all ages, ranging from four months old to adults. The program prides itself on offering a unique and fully customized swimming experience, encompassing vital water safety skills within each lesson. Through themed weeks, such as CPR and first aid, Swim ARCademy emphasizes the importance of water safety, fostering a comprehensive understanding of the risks associated with water-related activities.

By investing in swim lessons, members of Swim ARCademy gain access to a multitude of well-researched benefits. These benefits include increased safety awareness, improved fitness, enhanced strength and coordination, lifelong swimming skills, heightened cognitive performance, and the opportunity to foster friendships within a fun and engaging environment.

"The program instils essential water safety knowledge, but also a love for swimming, ensuring our members can enjoy the water confidently throughout their lives.”

Swim ARCademy actively involves parents and guardians in their water safety lessons, fostering a sense of camaraderie and making the learning experience more enjoyable. The Swim School Team has introduced four to six scheduled Water Safety weeks, where parents are encouraged to participate alongside their children, resulting in a resounding success.

One of the driving forces behind the success of Swim ARCademy is Briannon Jones, the Swim School Supervisor. With her extensive expertise and passion for teaching, Briannon instructs over 200 students of varying ages and swimming capabilities on a weekly basis. Her exceptional skills and unwavering dedication have earned her the admiration and nomination by parents whose children have experienced remarkable progress under her guidance.
