Manning Park

Manning Park is a popular destination for families, tourists and other members of the community. Situated north of Azelia Road at Hamilton Hill, Manning Park is considered part of the larger Beeliar Regional Park that encompasses Manning Lake and the limestone ridge to the west of the wetland. The park is open between 7am and 7pm every day of the year.

As Cockburn’s largest and most prestigious park to host major events, Manning Park has the facilities to cater for all outings and occasions.

Manning Lake Reserve boasts significant flora and fauna within the lake itself and in the surrounding wetland areas, as well as open spaces and recreational areas perfect for picnics or walks around the lake.

The Davilak trail is a limestone track that runs from behind the museum and across the ridge with spectacular views of Cockburn Sound and the city. It is popular amongst avid hikers and walking trail enthusiasts, and can take between 30 minutes and two hours to complete.

Museums and musical performances

The reserve also contains the Azelia Ley Homestead Museum and the Alan Thomas Music Shell, an open-air venue and a must for musical performances.

Community and calendar events

At various times of the year, Manning Park plays host to a number of community events, including the Spring Fair and the City’s Annual Teddy Bears Picnic to name a few.

Manning Park Master Plan 2018 - 2028

The Manning Park Master Plan was endorsed by Council in December 2018. The total estimated costs for the plan's actions over a 10 year period is $7.25M.
