Development at Port Coogee is guided by a local structure plan, which determines the type and style of use in this area. Detailed Area / Local Area Plans (including the Marina Village Built Form Codes) may also affect development.
Development at Port Coogee is guided by the Port Coogee Local Structure Plan (LSP). Initially adopted by Council in 2005, the LSP provides for a mix of zones covering a total of 85.99 hectares spanning dry land (57.24ha) and water areas (28.75ha).
Port Coogee has been planned with a range of residential options including single houses through to large apartment buildings. A private marina is at the heart of the development, which will be surrounded by a village. The marina village will have a range of commercial, retail and business uses with a height of up to eight storeys.
There have been a number of Amendments to the Port Coogee Structure Plan, with the most recent being approved by the WAPC on 26 September 2018.
If you are looking to lodge a subdivision or development proposal in the Port Coogee precinct, you need to check whether your site is governed by a Local Development Plan which can be viewed on the City's
online mapping system using the ‘Zoning' module .
