The Wild Life of a Wildlife Rehabilitator

Ever wondered what it’s like to care for injured and orphaned wildlife? Join WA Willdife to step into the busy world of a wildlife rehabilitator! Learn how we care for animals from all walks of life, make special feed plates and get hands-on with some of the practical tasks—like the never-ending laundry load—that keep our hospital running. Meet some of the incredible animals and the dedicated team behind the scenes and discover what it takes to rescue, rehabilitate and release wildlife back into the wild.

Saving the Wild. A Behind-the-Scenes Veterinary Adventure

Join WA Willdife for an exclusive tour of Western Australia’s first wildlife veterinary hospital! This hands-on education session lets you dive into the world of wildlife care. Experience patient care with soft toys, explore real diagnostics and learn about the medical procedures that protect endangered species. You’ll also meet their resident animal ambassadors and hear their heartwarming recovery stories. Discover how they're saving the wild, one patient at a time, in this unique, interactive adventure!

Night Vision. A Nocturnal Adventure

Step into the world after dark with a WA Willdife Night Vision session! Explore the mysteries of the night as you meet some of Australia’s most fascinating nocturnal creatures. Get up close to adorable possums, playful brush-tail bettongs, Vinnie the wombat and the elusive tawny frogmouths. You’ll also encounter nocturnal reptiles, each with unique adaptations to thrive in the dark. Bring your torch and join in on a hands-on, eye-opening adventure that brings the wonders of the night to life!

Come and discover the incredible wildlife that makes Australia so unique in this hands-on educational session! You’ll get the opportunity to meet some of WA Willdife's most iconic native species, including Black Cockatoos, Emus, Wombats, Koalas, Dingos and more.
Expert educators will share fascinating facts about these remarkable animals, from their behaviours and habitats to the challenges they face in the wild. This is a fantastic opportunity to connect with Australia’s diverse wildlife and learn how each species plays an important role in our ecosystems. Whether you’re a lifelong nature lover or new to the world of Australian animals, this session is sure to be an unforgettable experience.
