Community Planting Trailer Competition

Deadline for entries extended to 30 November 2024!

Community Planting Trailer Competition

Calling all school aged artists in the City of Cockburn! We're excited to announce the Community Planting Trailer Competition. We're looking for vibrant and colourful artwork that captures the essence of our local biodiversity, to adorn our new planting trailer.

The trailer will be used at community planting events throughout the year and we want it to reflect the natural beauty it will help support. Whether you’re passionate about painting, drawing, or digital design, this is your chance to showcase your skills and make a lasting impact on our community.

If you’re a young artist living in Cockburn, we invite you to let your imagination bloom and submit your design. Your artwork could be the one to bring our planting trailer to life!

What is local biodiversity?

Local biodiversity encompasses the range of plants, animals, and other living organisms that inhabit the natural environment. This includes native trees, wildflowers, birds, insects, and other wildlife that are unique to our region.

Healthy biodiversity is crucial for maintaining balanced ecosystems, supporting clean air and water, and providing habitat for wildlife. By celebrating local biodiversity in your design, you'll help raise awareness about the importance of protecting and preserving the natural beauty around us.

Entries extended until Saturday 30 November!
