Friday 29 November
A lone Green in the Upper House has moved a motion to disallow Roe 8 and Roe 9 on behalf of the community who fought to stop the road being built to save the Beeliar Wetlands.

WA Greens MLC Brad Pettitt said the community was concerned with the Cook Government failing to listen to them on what should be done with this important corridor.

Thursday 28 November:
A primary school student has started a petition with over 60 signatures return the pontoon to Ngarkal Beach that was removed by the City of Cockburn following complaints of antisocial behaviour.

The petition has been driven by 12-year old Carter Goss. 

Between $35 billion and $40 billion of warehouses, apartments, offices, shops and hotels will be needed around Port Adelaide and the Cockburn coastline over the coming years to support the construction and operation of the AUKUS nuclear submarines, according to analysis by commercial real estate firm CBRE.

Wednesday 27 November:
A Purple Bench honouring all victims killed because of family and domestic violence has been unveiled at Coolbellup Hub.

The unveiling coincides with the 16 Days in WA campaign which encourages communities to educate, motivate and advocate to stand up to, and stop, violence against women.

Residents of the City of Cockburn have recently been celebrated for their commitment to sustainable landscaping through the inaugural Waterwise Verge Competition, supported by the Water Corporation.
This initiative rewarded who have transformed their verges into eco-friendly spaces, promoting water conservation and creating a biodiversity haven.

Friday 22 November:
The City of Cockburn council approved a 50-year guiding document for Coogee Beach last week, and it will next head to a further round of public consultation.

The coastal reserve is already home to a popular jetty, caravan park, Surf Live Saving club, and barbecue facilities.
