How do nom! programs work?

Foodbank W.A. nom!® programs aims to improve knowledge, attitudes and skills around nutritious foods. Each session provides:

Healthy Cockburn currently hosts two nom! programs:

The nom! Children program is open to parents, grandparents and carers of children 0-5 years old. A free creche is provided for children but they are encouraged to join the group for the shared meal.
Note: Parents / carers are expected to attend all sessions. (illness excepted)

The program runs for four (4) weeks and covers a range of topics including:

  • Amounts, textures and types of food for each childhood development stage
  • Tools and tips to make mealtimes joyful
  • Healthy eating for the whole family
  • Healthy snack and lunchbox ideas.

Note: nom! Children is also offered online through zoom. Go to the Food Bank WA website for details on how to register.
