If you're 50 and over, you'd love what's on offer at the Cockburn Seniors Centre. Take a look, we think you'll be pleasantly suprised.

Cockburn Seniors Centre hosts a range of recreational, educational, health and social activities, classes, events, meals, outings and courses. Please see our current timetable (ongoing regular classes and activities) and activities guide (short courses, events and outings).

About the Cockburn Seniors Centre

The Cockburn Seniors Centre is a membership based centre for people aged 50 and over who live within the City of Cockburn.
It provides a range of recreational, educational, health and social activities, classes, events, meals, outings and courses . These include:

  • Meals - Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at midday (pre-order before 10am)
  • CafĂ© - Tuesday and Thursday 9am –1pm. (orders from 8.30am until 12.45pm)
  • Services - a centre-based hairdresser and naturopath (available by appointment)
  • Transport - a van shuttle service is available for members who are transport disadvantaged - bookings required (assessed service)
  • Computer Room - computers/iPads and free WiFi available for members to use.

 The Seniors Centre offers scrumptious meals to members and non-members (see below for non-members definitions). Find out what's on offer by visiting the menu page.

Non-members Definitions:
Casual Visitor - Person who lives within the City of Cockburn boundaries and is over the age of 50 who pays a casual visit fee.
Member Guest - Person who lives outside the City of Cockburn boundaries, is over the age of 50 and attends the Centre with a current member who pays a casual visit fee
House Guest - Person who does not reside within the City of Cockburn boundaries and is staying with a current member who pays a casual visit fee.


Become a member 

Membership to Cockburn Seniors Centre is $50 for one year. Memberships run from 1 July 2024 - 30 June 2025.

Members enjoy access to:

  • Centre activities that range from free to up to a maximum of $10 per class
  • Outings (prices vary)
  • Meals $13 for two courses, plus tea/coffee and/or main course only $10.

Outings Booking Conditions

  • Outings are available for members only
  • Payment must be made at time of booking for all outings
  • Bookings can be made for a maximum of two people (yourself and one other member) (full name is required of the member you are booking on behalf of)
  • Apologies, but cancellations cannot be refunded.

Kalamunda Musical & Lunch

  • Wednesday 5 February
  • 9am - 3pm
  • Outing Cost - $51.50
  • Moderate walking involved.   

Let's party like it's 1985!!  Step back into the 80s and experience fun, humour and heart in this spectacular new production of THE WEDDING SINGER Journey of Robbie Hart, a loveable wedding singer who’s the life of the party until his own love life falls apart. With unforgettable catchy songs, dazzling choreography, and vibrant 80s-inspired costumes, this show is a celebration of love, laughter, and second chances.

Crown Casino

  • Friday 7 February
  • 9am - 3.45pm
  • Outing Cost - $10
  • Low to moderate walking involved.   

Take a trip to the Casino to enjoy each other’s company, take in the ambience of the Casino surroundings. Purchase your lunch from the variety of food outlets on offer at the Crown. Please gamble responsibly. Have a great time.

Alcoa Mines Tour & Lunch

  • Wednesday 12 February
  • 8am - 4.45pm
  • Outing Cost - $36.50
  • Moderate walking involved.   

Arriving at Pinjarra mine site and then escorted onto the mines tour bus for a 4 hour guided tour to Willowdale and Wagenup Bauxite mine. Lunch is at the Ravenswood Hotel for a late lunch around 1.30pm.
MUST WEAR long sleeve top, long pants and enclosed shoes.
Please bring your own morning tea and snacks and a drink as we will be having morning tea whilst on the bus.

You will be required to sign a declaration on the terms and conditions when attending this outing.

(1) Seniors steak with chips and salad
(2) Battered snapper with chips and salad
(3) Chicken schnitzel with chips and salad
(4) Carbonara with mushroom, bacon and garlic sauce
(5) Caesar Salad


Jesus Christ Superstar

  • Wednesday 19 February
  • 9.30am - 5pm
  • Outing Cost - $85
  • Low to moderate walking involved.

This iconic site in the heart of Perth is more than a premier tourist attraction. Discover a stunning selection of jewellery, tours and attractions, shopping, sell your gold jewellery or trade precious metals. Enjoy a delicious meal at the Grosvenor Hotel for lunch after the tour.

Enjoy the March Morning Music Best of Broadway at the Kalamunda Performing Arts Centre.
This is a feast of a musical treat! Justin Freind celebrates the big iconic tunes of the musicals including Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables, My Fair Lady & many more.

Enjoy a wide variety of stalls, engaging activities, health checks, discussion corners or try something new at the Positive Ageing and Volunteering Expo at the Fremantle Civic Centre.

Lunch options: 
Free light refreshments at the expo.
