About the event

Engineering Ocean Solutions (EOS) is unique conference facilitating collaboration across sectors and disciplines, on solutions in, with and for the ocean. EOS convenes innovators, engineers, investors, researchers and business leaders working in marine, subsea, maritime, defence and coastal engineering.

EOS has a proven track record of being THE place to be inspired, get connected and explore the leading edge of ocean solutions with like-minded peers. EOS design and facilitation prioritises deeper connections and practical collaborations that advance materials, design, operations, sustainability and major projects.

Day 1

The event begins with behind-the-scenes industry tours in the Cockburn area followed commencing at 2pm departing The Esplande Hotel, Fremantle. 

Site tours include;

  • Austal, Henderson
  • Hyperion Systems, O’Connor
  • Enautic, O’Connor
  • The Australian Marine Complex, Henderson

Day 1 Sundowner

The tour will conclude and a networking sundowner will commence at the Coogee Beach Surf Life Saving Club from 4.45 to 7pm. 

Day 2

The conference opens on Wednesday 11 September at 8.30am at the esplanade Hotel, Fremantle.

Highlights include:

  • Compelling speakers on the future of the marine infrastructure, maritime fuels, pitches from innovators and expert panel previews of the Deep Dives
  • Deep Dive technical sessions and panels on topics such as:
    • Under the radar – the leading edge of vessel design, manufacturing and operations
    • Building the future – the solutions needed for our future coastal infrastructure
    • Bio, Nano and Eco – the opportunities (and challenges) of new materials.
    • Beyond emissions reductions – holistic approaches to “Greentech” – sustainable design, manufacturing and operations
    • Asian connections – exploring the trends, drivers and opportunities in SE Asia maritime logistics and markets
    • Virtual, intelligent and autonomous – where digital tech is taking design and operations
    • Working smarter under the sea – the applications and innovations in subsea technologies
    • Enabling offshore – the tech and infrastructure enabling wind, wave and aquaculture
  • Networking sundowner – continue the conversation with a post-event networking at the Ball and Chain

Scholarships

The City of Cockburn is proud to invest in local businesses and we have sponsored ten places for local business owners to attend. These funded places are valued at $350 each and give you full access to the full two day program. You’ll get to experience site tours, sunset networking and the full day conference on Wednesday. Eligibility criteria apply, businesses must be either:

  • Located in the City of Cockburn or
  • Conduct their ocean related business operations in the City of Cockburn.
