About the Cockburn Healthy Lifestyle Service

The Cockburn Healthy Lifestyle Service aims to help people of all ages to achieve long-term health, lifestyle and weight loss goals. The service offers a low cost approach to nutrition, education, physical activity, fitness, mental health, and child-specific services. Support is offered to clients through programs that are connected to local health service providers across the Cockburn area.

Becoming a member of the Cockburn Healthy Lifestyle Service gives you opportunity to access:
  • One-on-one dietitian consults
  • One-on-one exercise consults
  • Group fitness programs
  • Yoga
  • Ongoing health consults
  • Child-specific weight and obesity support (see Just Kids Health program below)
  • Online programs available.

To participate in the Cockburn Healthy Lifestyle Service you are required to have a free initial health consult with an Allied Health Professional.
This consult is to assess nutritional, physical and mental wellbeing status and enable a tailored plan to be created to meet individual needs.

Feature Programs

Pool Walking

  • Wednesdays - starting from 6 November to 11 December 2024 
  • $30 for six weeks
  • Session 1: new members only - Midday-1pm
  • Session 2: existing members / new members - 1-2pm.

Just Kids Health program for children from 0-18yrs

The Just Kids Health program was developed to help children and teens who are above a healthy weight.
The goal of this program is to help children, teens and their families to make lasting changes to support them in reaching their optimal weight and lifestyle.

The program is led by Children's Nurse Practitioners from NursePrac Australia, who have many years of experience working in children's health.

The Just Kids Health program includes:

  • Detailed health assessment by a Nurse Practitioner
    (Face to face and telehealth appointments available)

  • Treatment plan personalised for the child/teen and family

  • Psychological support

  • Health and wellness education

  • Follow-up clinic visits to help keep on track

  • Ongoing support.

The Just Kids Health Program is supported by NursePrac Australia, the City of Cockburn, Fiona Stanley Hospital and Cockburn Integrated Health.
