Emergency Management Plans

Maintaining effective and up to date Emergency Management Plans ensures we are prepared for any potential emergencies affecting the City of Cockburn community.

Emergency Risk Management Plan

The City’s Emergency Risk Management Plan is a comprehensive strategy designed to identify, assess and mitigate a range of natural and manmade hazards that have the potential to threaten life, cause injury, or damage property and the environment.

Our plan enables our community to react faster and more effectively, especially during the critical early hours of an emergency, and was developed in collaboration with emergency services, community organisations and other key stakeholders.

Bushfire Risk Management Plan

The Cockburn Bushfire Risk Management Plan 2023-2028 provides a framework for identifying, assessing, and managing bushfire risk within the City of Cockburn. The plan enables us to identify key areas and assets at risk of bushfire, and recommend actions to respond to those risks. The plan outlines a tier level treatment strategy, Fire Control Order use on private and commercial land, and bushfire awareness through increased community engagement.

Animal Welfare Plan

The City’s Animal Welfare Plan focuses on the efficient and effective management of animals, and coordination of animal welfare support services before, during and after an emergency event.
