Friday 26 July:
Fremantle Football Club has announced the appointment of Jessica Farrell as a Director of the Club.
Farrell has extensive experience in leadership and management roles within the resources industry across Australia and internationally.

Western Australia's naval shipbuilding and submarine sustainment industry will take a major step forward today with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Western Australian Government and Henderson-based ASC.

Wednesday 24 July:
The State Government has welcomed new members of the Ministerial Youth Advisory Council who will represent the voice of young West Australians. One member, Lilijana Nicholls who is a member of Cockburn’s Youth Advisory Council, is embarking on her second term on the Council.


Austal Limited in Henderson has announced they have entered a Memorandum of Understanding with Civmec Limited to form a Joint Venture to submit a proposal to the Commonwealth of Australia to support the LAND8710 Phase 2, Landing Craft Heavy project.

Tuesday 23 July:
A fleet of vessels that will increase Australia’s ability to quickly deploy defence forces will be built at the Austal shipyard in Henderson as part of a multibillion-dollar project expected to create more than 1000 jobs.


Monday 22 July:
A free workshop for businesses wanting to learn how to write and submit winning tenders to secure a contract or funding will be held on Tuesday 30 July at the Cockburn Health and Community Facility in Success.

It will be facilitated by Business Foundations, and hosed by the Small Business Development Corporation, in partnership with the City of Cockburn.

Friday 19 July:
The City has announced two accomplished new members are joining its Executive team.

After a comprehensive recruitment process, Carissa Bywater has been announced the new Director of Corporate and System Services and Kylie Johnson will join the City as Director of Community and Place.
