Cockburn Support Service

This service provides free counselling, information and support in a confidential and caring environment to individuals and families living within the Perth metropolitan area.

The service offers:

  • Short-term counselling by qualified tertiary counsellors and social workers
  • Information and referrals to help people connect with services and resources in the community including long-term counselling, disability support, children's services, domestic violence, housing and employment, and health and legal issues
  • Advocacy to assist people navigate through the systems that impact their lives including disability services, health and housing
  • Groups and workshops, including:
    • Beeliar Hub - a parent and child (aged 5 years and under) group held at Beeliar Community Centre (Wednesdays during school terms 9.30-11.30am)
    • My Time, Ngaany Djang, an Aboriginal parents and carers group held at Coolbellup Hub (Eight Tuesdays during school terms from midday-2pm,  with a crèche
    • Wise Women Workshop, an over 50s women's group held at Cockburn Health and Community facility (last Tuesday of the month from 5.30pm, excluding December and January)
