Healthy Cockburn

The City's Health Promotion team works closely with Cockburn Integrated Health, based at the Cockburn Health and Community facility in Success. They offer a range of healthy lifestyle programs for families and individuals as part of the Cockburn Healthy Lifestyle Service.

Services offered include:

  • Free health assessments for adults and kids at major City events

  • Healthy Eating Active Lifestyle (HEALTM) program

  • Links to free and low-cost nutrition and physical activity programs

  • Help with health and lifestyle goals

  • Kicking Goals for Life a men's soccer weight loss program
  • Ongoing monitoring and support.

Staying Active

The Health Promotion team has developed and published a Guide to Walks in the City of Cockburn to encourage parents and children to be more
physically active. There are Heart Foundation walking groups available on different days/times across Cockburn.

Nutrition

We continue to offer a range of healthy eating workshops delivered by health professionals. Learn how to nourish your family on a tight budget with Foodbank's nom! Children program or learn how to plan meals and pack healthy children's lunch boxes with help from a dietician.

Quick Health Checks

The Health Promotion team offer basic health checks using the Diabetes Australia Risk Assessment Tool at City events and at local Bunnings stores
throughout the year.
